Very Old and Well Used Leather Saddle (Brooks?)

Bicycle, Bike, Old, Well Used, Leather Saddle, Brooks,

Seen parked up near my home is this very old and well used saddle. It looks like a brooks make biit I couldn't tell as it had nmo marking from wear. If you think the saddle is old and well used, the bicycle it sits on is probably the same age. As with all things in Bulgaria, age doesn't matter as long as it works.

Early 1990s Giant T-Track MTB Renovated

1990s, Giant T-Track, MTB, Renovated, bike

A a favour for a friend who had this bike parked outside for 10 years unridden, I decided to renovate it and get him back on the road again. After stripping everything, degreasing, cleaning and regreasing and fitting new cables and other bits and pieces here is the finished project. This retro Giant T-Rack was made in the early 1990s over 25 years old, but looks like new after the work I put in.

Pedal Motorbike Styled Bike with Weird Extras

Pedal Motorbike, Bike, Weird. cycle, bicycle, raccoon, mud flap, handlebars,
Really don't know what to make of this. It has the feel of a pedal motorcycle but the only real motorcycle element if that front headlight and back swung handlebars. Love the raccoon mud flap on the front wheel. More a work of art than anything else I guess.

My Dahon Fold-Up Bike

I bought this earlier in the year to commute to work and back and was the first time I had experienced a fold-up bike. The novelty soon wore off as climbing steep off road gravel hills just didn't hit the mark with this bike. It was clear the bike wasn't designed for this type of terrain. I subsequently sold it (for a profit I might add) which was a shame as I love the concept of the bike which was stored in the boot of my little Nissan Micra!

Silly Bike

Well the word that comes to mind here is, unnecessary. All this complication with the complex frame is just plain silly. The rider I feel is just looking for attention and certainly has that as he rides by. Keep going my man, you will come a cropper with failings with such a complex system. Simplicity is the mainstay of reliability, this is the opposite!

Silly Reverse Steering Bicycle

Nice colours but this simple pedal bicycle is designed with reverse steering surely solely for circus and shows. There is a danger however of after riding this bike for a prolonged period to get into a car and steer in the opposite direction!

A Tricycle With A Loop Frame

Interesting to say the least especially when you look closely and see that the seat and handlebars should be facing the other way round for this to be rideable. The bigger picture is, why on earth design a bike that can't be ridden, other than an art form I suppose?

Invisible Bike - With a Shadow of Doubt

As the saying goes, "Air we go, air we go, air we go!" Yes going somewhere on air it seems. But wait, it is not an invisible bike without a shadow of doubt as we can see. Someone has been using a picture editor for sure, so why couldn't they also get rid of the shadow for more intrigue?

A Bike Without a Saddle

Well if you suffer from saddle sores, this bike may well be for you. It is a bike without a saddle, you just hang from the frame and propel yourself by scampering. Not the coolest posture trying to impress the opposite sex. Looks like this guy is speeding along, but I suspect it is on a flat or slightly downhill. I'd love to see him ride in the Yorkshire Pennines!

A True Road Biker

Thought this was quite funny and at first sight thought it was a real bike. I'm sure this bike has flat tires as well! Judging by the proximity to the ground is also has very low maintenance.....

An Interesting Concept Bike From The Specialized Bike Company

This concept bike certainly turns a few eyes and even more if used on the road. The design has an appeal although like most concept bikes ends up too extrovert and too expensive to become a marketable model. Mind you the money the Specialized Company have made means they have wads of disposiable income to invest in these kinds of ventures.

A Bike For The Olympics?

I just like the idea of transforming the Olympic symbol into a bicycle that actually works from it, even with the right colour combination. Not too sure about whether is would compete in a an Olympic cycling discipline though.

The BMX Bike - Designed For Throwing About

This picture shows exactly what BMX bikes are designed to do. They are strong and robust and throwing them around is all part of the sport. I see many BMX riders in my home town with their tricks that they spent man hours practising in the streets. With a single gear they aren't designed for distance just fun and games and why not?

A Smashed Up Cycle

I'm not quite sure how this happened, I only hope the rider is okay. Not too sure whether it can be repair, but the spare parts will always come in useful. I feel quite sorry for bikes that get into such a state especially road bikes that shouldn't be confronted with the impact that this poor machine as taken.

A Useful Tool For Bike And Dog

I often used to take my dog out for walks whilst riding my bike. On a conventional lead it is a nightmare especially when he saw a cat! This tool is a very useful invention, being rigid but with a small degree of flex, make it a comfortable ride and walk respectively for rider and dog. More importantly, it's safe!

Oryx's Innovative Time Trial Bike

This is certainly a innovative time trial bike from ORYX. It has with a fork and chain-stay that is one-sided. With a distinctive Y-frame shape, it has a comfortable ride without loosing ground traction.

Cycle time trialling folk are serious about their sport and will spend gross amounts of money, (from sponsors who have it that is) to shave split seconds off the runs. What I found most funny about this cycle is the a hole in the seating to cool your bottom!

A Typical Cruiser or Beach Cruiser Bike

Cruiser bicycles are cool, They are also known as beach cruisers with fat tyres and an upright seating posture they only have a single-speed gear, and a simple steel construction with a flowing style. These bikes are noted for their durability and robustness. First introduced in the USA in the 1930s there has since been a revival in the 1990s. A cool dude machine which reminds me of the hippy age although they weren't popular during hippy times.

A Bike from Amsterdam

Another bike another different part of the world, this time in Europe and Holland. They love they're bikes and they love their flowers combine the two and you have a result.

Look at this wonderfully decorated bike. It’s full of flowers and even a friendly toy dog and turtle. It’s often parked in front of this toy shop window. It’s special and great to look at when walking past it. Even Rembrandt seems to admire this one.

Yambol 2008

Another Yambol bike with the home made wire carrier. No brakes, single geared an a light blue women's frame.
