I Love The Circular Frame

Not everyone's taste due to the age of the bicycle fashion, but I quite like this. It is a single gear with quite high ratio so I bet it goes like a bomb on the flat. Not too sure how the guy mounts it though. I would guess this is around the 1920s or 1930s.

Oryx's Innovative Time Trial Bike

This is certainly a innovative time trial bike from ORYX. It has with a fork and chain-stay that is one-sided. With a distinctive Y-frame shape, it has a comfortable ride without loosing ground traction.

Cycle time trialling folk are serious about their sport and will spend gross amounts of money, (from sponsors who have it that is) to shave split seconds off the runs. What I found most funny about this cycle is the a hole in the seating to cool your bottom!

Florescent Bicycle Clips - So Useful

Not a bicycle picture today, but something that cyclist should never be without. Bicycle clips are so useful, especially for commuting when you don't want to get your trouser bottoms oil up from the chain. They are even more useful now that you can get them in yellow florescent finish making you even more visible to killer cars. I have a pair of these that I brought over from the UK to Bulgaria, I'd feel lost without them. I had used thick rubber bands before, but they don't last long. This metal product lasts a lifetime. The only thing that can go wrong is you losing them!

A Typical Cruiser or Beach Cruiser Bike

Cruiser bicycles are cool, They are also known as beach cruisers with fat tyres and an upright seating posture they only have a single-speed gear, and a simple steel construction with a flowing style. These bikes are noted for their durability and robustness. First introduced in the USA in the 1930s there has since been a revival in the 1990s. A cool dude machine which reminds me of the hippy age although they weren't popular during hippy times.

A Classic Bicycle Diagram

In case you are not familiar with the bicycle components that are standard on bicycle, I have provided a diagram that give you exactly that. It is based on the classic road/racing bike and includes most of the parts and names of parts that you will find on a standard set up. So many bits and pieces on something that has a human engine.

Hardtails Are The Best MTBs - In My Opinion

Hardtail mountain bikes are the best in my opinion. Not too keen on full suspension bikes, it take the thrill of the terrain out of tough off road rides which is what it is all about. This picture is a classic hardtail and I for one would be proud to own and ride it.

What Will They Think Of Next In Cycle Design?

What will they think of next in cycle design and technology?

I for one would feel kinda self-conscious about riding this monster, how about you?

Regardless of the reasons for getting this off the drawing board it does lack a bit of taste fashion-wise.

The idea behind Concept Bicycles called Versabikes is to make reselling your bicycle easier since they can be adjusted to fit multiple riders. The customizable bikes would also add to the comfort of the rider and even grow with the rider. Versabikes are a very unique design by Nathan Durflinger and are hypothetically made to be eco-friendly with pieces from materials like finished plywood, polycarbonate, or machined aluminum. The frame would work with all standard bike hardware and could be manufactured in two different sizes including a small size that could be adjusted as a child grew. A very cool concept that would greatly reduce waste is made a reality!

An Overloaded Bicycle

I'm not too sure where this is from, probably Asia or the Far East, but it just shows how you can run a business with the entire stock being stored on a bike. Most would consider the use a van or another engine driven vehicle for of transport, but not this trader who cuts his business overheads tot he minimum.

A Wooden Bicycle In The Woods

This is initially an interesting frame concept, but in reality all they could have done was cover up the metal frame with a drilled wood façade. Not really practical and must be a nightmare to clean after a bit of off road riding - Probably needs a sanding rather than a wash. a certain head turner though and would go down well in fashion concious urban environments,

A Bike from Amsterdam

Another bike another different part of the world, this time in Europe and Holland. They love they're bikes and they love their flowers combine the two and you have a result.

Look at this wonderfully decorated bike. It’s full of flowers and even a friendly toy dog and turtle. It’s often parked in front of this toy shop window. It’s special and great to look at when walking past it. Even Rembrandt seems to admire this one.
